Description

A big, big thank you to everyone who popped their heads into my JM on the 1st to see this coloured.. Painstakingly. You guys are fabulous! Thank you all for inspiring me to push through dese lines

Here we've got Pharos being tested at 8 months on our big ol' overgrown Ayrshire steer/ox, number 184. Or Meatball, if you listen to Maxim's nicknames. Normally, we would not allow starting puppies anywhere near full grown cattle, but 184 seems to be the exception at Barrowhill. He's been used for the last eight years to train up young cow pups due to his gentle nature and willingness to humor.

While Pharos' older litter-mate Patch shied repeatedly from 184's face, this young Border Collie tried to grab hold of the Ayrshire's face whenever he stopped to look her in the eye and didn't want to budge. Connor's in need of tactical dogs that can be forceful when necessary, as well as drivers, so Pharos was chosen to continue her training with cattle.
